What The Green is

The Green is a service published by YLC NETWORK FZC. One account gives access to four environments — Versus, Flush, Sprig and iClutch — each with its own daily challenge: play the arcade game of the day, guess the word of the day, walk, or frag in a FACEIT match. Taking on a challenge earns greens, an in-game unit that can be used to fund environmental projects listed in the app.

The account is one, and so is the wallet. Greens, XP, streak, projects and tickets belong to the account, not to an environment. A day is worth up to twenty greens in total, whichever environments are played: the four are four ways to fill one day, not four allowances.

Beyond the daily challenges, the service offers three games of chance — a scratch card, a lottery and a slot machine — limited to one free play each per day, with no way to wager or to pay for another; and duels, in which two players stake greens on the same board and the winner takes both stakes. A duel moves greens between accounts and never creates any.

Playing is free. Greens cannot be bought, sold, transferred outside the service, or exchanged for money, and they have no monetary value. Nothing in The Green is a purchase or an investment, and nothing staked in a duel was ever acquired against payment.

Your account

Signing in requires an email address. There is no password: a six-digit code is sent to the address you give, and entering it signs you in. Keeping access to that mailbox is what keeps your account yours.

You may choose a display name, a username and a short bio. A username is a public address: anyone can reach /u/your-username. A profile set to private is not listed and its page returns a not-found response.

One account per person. Accounts created to play the same day's word more than once may be suspended.

Fair play

The day's word is the same for everyone, and the point of the game is that it is solved by the same means by everyone. Using a program, a model, or another person to produce your guesses is not forbidden by any technical measure — it cannot be — but it is outside the spirit of the game, and the leaderboard is ordered by streak precisely so that showing up matters more than solving fast.

Every guess is recorded on the server, with the time it was made. This is used to understand how the game is played and, if needed, to look into an account. It is an indication and never a proof: a fast, strong player looks like an assisted one. No account is ever suspended automatically.

Practice grids are unlimited, random, and never scored.

Greens, projects and the draw

Greens are earned by playing — a daily challenge, a free play of one of the three games of chance, or a duel won against another player — and never any other way. The server replays every game from the moves it recorded; a score sent by a browser is never read, because there is no field for one.

Greens can fund a project from the list in the app. Funding records an impact and issues one draw ticket, up to five tickets per calendar month for everyone, across every environment on one account. Money never buys one more, and no purchase of any kind increases anybody's chances.

Funding triggers a real purchase with the partner network, made on your behalf, and the certificate page carries the record of it. If the call to the partner fails, the ticket and the impact are still yours and the request is retried later: your entry does not depend on a third party being available.

Suspension and ending

An account may be suspended for creating multiple accounts, for abuse, or for attempting to obtain greens by means other than playing. A suspended account is told so, and told why.

You may stop using The Green at any time. There is no self-service deletion yet; see the privacy policy for how to ask for erasure.

Changes

These terms may change. Substantive changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.

Governing language

This document exists in English and in French. **The English version governs**: it is the language it was drafted in, and the language of the applicable law. The French version is a courtesy translation; in case of divergence between the two, the English version applies.

This clause does not deprive anybody of the mandatory provisions of their national consumer law, nor of the right to bring proceedings before the courts of their place of residence.
